Bath & Brush

A thorough wash and brush-out that leaves your dog clean and their coat healthy.

The work

A thorough wash and brush-out that leaves your dog clean and their coat healthy.

Bath and Brush is our foundation service. We start with a warm bath using a gentle shampoo suited to your dog's coat type, then hand-dry with a high-velocity dryer. After that comes the brushing, where we work through the coat to remove loose fur and mats. It's the kind of grooming that keeps your dog looking and feeling good between full grooms.

We pay attention to seasonal needs. In spring and summer when shedding picks up, the brushing work gets more intensive to pull out the undercoat before it ends up on your furniture. For dogs with longer coats or those prone to matting, we adjust our approach based on what we find during the bath. The whole process takes about an hour depending on your dog's size and coat condition.

Your dog leaves clean, fluffy, and smelling fresh. Most owners notice their dog's coat looks shinier and feels softer after regular Bath and Brush visits. It's also a chance for us to spot any skin issues or ear problems early, so you stay ahead of problems.

What's included: Warm bath with coat-appropriate shampoo; High-velocity drying; Hand-brushing and mat removal; Ear cleaning and inspection; Nail trim.

Questions

About bath & brush

How often should my dog get a Bath and Brush?

Most dogs do well with one every 4 to 6 weeks. Dogs with longer coats or those that shed heavily might need it more often. We can recommend a schedule based on your dog's coat when you bring them in.

Will this service help with my dog's shedding?

Yes. The brushing removes a lot of loose fur before it falls out at home. It won't stop shedding, but it cuts down on how much ends up on your floors and furniture.

What if my dog has sensitive skin?

Let us know when you book. We use gentle, fragrance-free shampoos for dogs with sensitive skin. If your vet has recommended a specific product, feel free to bring it and we'll use that instead.
