Puppy Introductions is a gentle first grooming experience designed for dogs under one year old. We keep it short, low-stress, and focused on getting your puppy used to being handled, bathed, and dried. The goal is building confidence now so future grooming appointments go smoothly. We work at your puppy's pace.
Most puppies come in anxious or curious, sometimes both. We start with a meet-and-greet in the grooming space so they can sniff around and get comfortable. Then we do basic handling, a warm bath, and light drying. We skip the full haircut unless you specifically want it. The whole session usually takes 30 to 45 minutes, depending on your puppy's mood.
Your puppy leaves clean and calm, not traumatized. You get a puppy that sees the groomer as a friendly person, not a source of stress. That foundation matters for the next 10 to 15 years of grooming appointments. We'll also give you tips on brushing and handling at home between visits.

Questions
About puppy introductions
How old should my puppy be for an introduction?
We recommend waiting until your puppy is at least 12 weeks old and has started their vaccine series. Check with your vet first. Puppies younger than that can be extra sensitive to stress and temperature changes.
Will you do a full haircut during the intro?
We can, but we usually don't recommend it for the first visit. The intro is about comfort and confidence. Once your puppy is used to us, we'll do a full groom on the next appointment.
What if my puppy cries or gets scared?
We stop and take a break. We're not trying to push them through it. Some puppies need two or three short visits before they're ready for a full groom, and that's completely normal.
